DREAMS COME TRUE AT BIG BLUE NATION
Wow!!! is all I can say. Sometimes in life you get opportunities and people ask you, “how was it?” and all you can say is WOW!!! That is how my weekend was. I always say I am so blessed and I do not know why except that God has been so gracious to me.
The Big3, a professional 3-on-3 basketball league co-founded by entertainment icon Ice Cube, came to Rupp Arena on Sunday.
I had the blessing of spending the weekend with my good friend, ex-NBA star and current Big 3 player, Maurice Evans as they toured through Lexington, Ky and played at Rupp Arena. We spent much of the weekend hanging out with such greats as Clyde “The Glide” Drexler, George “The Ice Man” Gervin, Rick Barry, Charles Oakley, Rick Mahorn and many other legendary ex NBA stars. To top it off, I got to hang with the great actor/musician and creator of the Big 3 league, ICE CUBE!!! What?!?!

As a lot of you know, basketball was and is one of my top 10 passions in life and to be fortunate enough to have friends that play in the league and to hang out with is truly special. One highlight of my weekend was Rick Barry asking me to be his assistant coach for the Ball Hogs which included Brian Scalabrine (captain) Josh Childress, Derrick Byars, Xavier Silas and Desmon Farmer.

MY TEAM, THE BALL HOGS
Named one of the 50 Greatest Players in History by the NBA in 1996, Barry is the only player to lead the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), ABA and NBA in scoring for an individual season.
I can’t honestly say I added anything to the coaching, but it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced to sit next to such a legendary Hall of Fame player and coach.

If that wasn’t enough excitement for the weekend, I got to have brunch with Maurice and BIG BLUE NATION Phenom, Tony Delk, aka “TD3”!

I am so thankful to God for my life and the opportunities He has given me to treat patients of all skill levels at IMAC Regeneration Centers across the country. IMAC’s medical professionals have helped patients get out of wheelchairs, avoid knee replacement surgery, recover from Parkinson’s Disease, stroke and Multiple Sclerosis…and the list goes on… However, the GREATEST part of the trip to me, was that I got to experience all of it with my high school sweetheart and wife of 19 years, Jodie. Amid all the excitement, we took a hike in the beautiful hills of Lexington and enjoyed spending time together, just the two of us.

I always encourage my family, friends and patients to DREAM BIG! Just like for me this weekend, you never know what God has in store for you!
